Melinda Joy Polet hails from the coldest city in Canada, Winnipeg!  She has studied with Canada's elite vocal instructors, at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada.  Melinda has a BFA in Music, Dance, and Visual Arts from the Concordia University, in Montreal, Quebec.  

The biggest stages across the USA, and  Canada have seen Melinda perform as an actor, and lead singer for bands like Tango Luna.  She has a long-standing history with some of Canada's leading theatre companies, and leading directors, including Guy Sprung, and The Kingston Theatre.  Her spiritual  path led her to Hawaii, where she raises two young daughters.

As Melinda's creative expression evolved into to her healing work Hamakua Sacred Arts was born.  Explorations with Crystal Singing Bowls and Sound Healing became a natural, creative extension of her artistic soul, and her deep love of the inner power of the human voice.  

Yoga has always been a part of Melinda's professional life as an actor, providing the necessary physical stamina to endure lengthy performances, day after day, as well as the agility to be expressive onstage.

With over 12 years experience in Therapeutic Massage and Body Work, and with a Licensed Massage Therapist designation,  Melinda Joy brings a vast depth of knowledge to her body work practice.  Trained in various massage modalities at the well-regarded Elmcrest College in Toronto, Canada, she has ​a strong, technical knowledge of the body, as well as a responsive, intuitive touch.

Melinda's longstanding love of ​spa therapies met a welcome fit with Elmcrest College's 2400 hour program.  Elmcrest's emphasis on  Spa Services as a way to enhance detoxification, calm the mind, heal and nourish the skin, and bring deep, restful pleasure to the recipient of the treatment.  

Melinda has been a Massage Therapist, LMT, RMT, for 14 years.
